Internet Access Cost

At this time internet access has been one of the fundamental requirement, not merely for business activity, but also for employees, student, and general society, requiring internet access to support their whole life activity.

For the middle circle upwards society, the expense of is not be the constraint meaning, they still could pay for the cost even how much it was. But for the middle circle downwards society the expense of accessing internet become one matter which is reckoned enough.

In my State if we use simcard to access the internet with the normal tariff, we have to pay at least IDR 1 per kilobyte data. If one web page is about 500 kb and every day we look for about 50 web page, we have to pay about IDR 750.000 (it’s about USD 81) at a month. If we used time based tariff, we have to pay at least IDR 150 per minute access. If every day we access the internet during 3 hour, we have to pay IDR 810.000 (it’s about USD 88). This value is big enough for middle circle downwards society.

But fortunately recently there are some unlimited internet access package with the expense about IDR 150.000 (it’s about USD 16) per month. Although for this package the maximum speed of internet access been limited, but it still be the one of any solution with a cheap enough cost, that for the middle circle downwards society the speed of internet access doesn’t too important as long as they still could open the web page any way. So they still could fulfill the requirement of internet access, and on the other side they still could fulfill their living cost safe enough.

This was what we have been long enough await. We still await for the other innovations that could decrease the living cost on any kind of field, especially on transportation, communications, property, fundamental food-stuff, electricity cost, and others.
